Frantic Franky
History



1983
Franky's first singing experience at a high school party. The bill refered to them as The Howling Coyote Brothers, but they were announced as Franky & The Sinatras. The concert was such a success that they decided to continue.

Members: Franky De Block (vocals), Michel D'Ortona (electric bass), Yurek Onzia (vocals), a few forgotten musicians, and a girls choir, under the name The Donettes.

Pretty soon only Franky and Michel were left, and they started searching for new musicians. They changed their name to Franky & The Rednecks.
Members: Franky De Block (vocals), Michel D'Ortona (electric bass), Dirk Garcia (guitar), Alain Van den Brande (drums).

Through the years no less than 11 different musicians performed with the band, including drummer Staf Hendrickx, bass player Ronny Wouters, guitarist Ruben Block.

1993
Frantic Franky's Hot Rod Rumble.
Members: Franky De Block (vocals), Eddie Roymans (guitar), Clark Kenis (double bass), Marc Roymans (drums).

1994
Franky joins Dutch Rockabilly band The Midnight Ramblers.
Members: Franky De Block (vocals), Haico Coomans (guitar), Eric Van Spreuwel (double bass), Eddie Roymans (guitar), Marc Roymans (drums). 1995
August
The Roymans brothers decide to quit Hot Rod Rumble, which means the end of the band.

Franky quits The Midnight Ramblers and joins the brand new Rockabilly band that will evolve into Los Fabulous Frankies.
